What if sledding were enough?
" I walked over to the hill where we used to go and sled. There were a lot of little kids there. I watched them flying. Doing jumps and having races. And I thought that all those little kids are going to grow up someday. And all of those little kids are going to do the things that we do. And they will all kiss someone someday. But for now, sledding is enough. I think it would be great if sledding was always enough, but it isn’t. "
-The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Who said that sledding can’t be enough? At what point in our lives did we decide that wecan’t enjoy the little things as much as everything else? Sure, we can get wrapped up in everything we do; work, school, friends, and even family. But what if concentrating on these things have made us miss out on millions of little things and what if those millions of little things can make you just as happy as the few "BIG" things you get in life?
I think we should all learn to enjoy more of the little things. Like being able to look out your windows and watch the leaves changing colors or taking a walk and seeing the sights, hearing the sounds, and smelling the scents of the seasons - unless, of course, you happen to be walking by a sewage plant. Hell, even trying new and interesting foods can put a spark in your life. So go out and enjoy yourselves by enjoying the little things.
